EFFECT PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION STRATEGY AS A REMEDY FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT IN BORNO STATE
Abstract
Public administration plays a pivotal role in promoting sustainable rural development, particularly in regions affected by underdevelopment and insecurity such as Borno State. This study examines effective public administration strategies as a panacea for rural development in Borno State. It explores how administrative efficiency, policy implementation, transparency, accountability, and participatory governance can enhance rural infrastructure, social services, and economic empowerment. Using both primary and secondary data, the study investigates the relationship between administrative performance and the overall development of rural communities. The findings reveal that effective administrative planning, capacity building, and citizen engagement significantly improve service delivery and development outcomes in rural areas. The study concludes that for Borno State to achieve meaningful rural transformation, there must be a deliberate strengthening of administrative institutions, improved leadership commitment, and the integration of grassroots participation in decision-making. Recommendations are made for improving the efficiency, responsiveness, and inclusiveness of public administration processes to accelerate rural development in the state.
