ABSTRACT
This project work titled “Improved electricity billing and metering system” a case study of KAEDCO, Birnin Kebbi branch carried out in order to ease the inaccurate method of billing customers and also to create report on customer’s especially for management decision in case of disconnection of customers from power connection. KAEDCO is primarily vested with the responsibility of providing electricity for residential, commercials, institutions, and industry. The interview and observation methods were used to obtained primary data while in the secondary data were obtained from relevant textbooks. php was used to implement the new program designed and my SQL was used for database management. At the end of the study, the new system designed was able to help in overcoming all the problems associated with the old method of billing in the KAEDCO,Birnin Kebbi branch. The researcher also made some useful recommendations.
