Abstract

Anti-oxidant potential of Moringaoleiferaextract against lead-induced polychromatic erythrocyte was examined In bone marrow cells of albino rats using micro-nucleus assay as well as its inhibitory potential against lead-induced lipid peroxidation in kidney tissue using thiobarbituricacid reactive substance [TBARS] respectively.A total of sixteen (16) albino rats were divided into four (4) groups A, B, C and D containing four rat each. The animals were treated differentially with MoringaOleiferaextract and lead acetate at variable concentrations. The results show highest [1.70%] frequency of polychromatic Erythrocytes in group B animals treated in the 25mg/kg lead acetate only impaired to loose animals frequency obtained fed in group D animal with 100mg/ml Moringaoleifera extract only with [0.20%] lowest frequency.Beside, results from lipid peroxidation assay show significant inhibitory potential [p
