Abstract

This project is the development of solar energy for domestic applications, focusing on its growth, benefits and challenges. We discussed the key components of a typical residential solar system, including solar panels, inverter, charge controller and energy storage solutions. This offers a better alternative to public power supply. Considering it cost effective, and energy maintainability. The generation of power energy through the combination of Mechanical and Electrical means has proven to be very expensive and therefore not cost effective. Also, the carbon generated and emitted to the atmosphere has adverse effect on the climate change. Therefore, the solar power generation has advantages over the other sources of power generation.
