Abstract

ABSTRACT This project presents the establishment of second order geodetic control points within Bauchi Metropolis, Bauchi State, aimed at enhancing the geodetic infrastructure of the area. Due to the destruction or loss of existing control points, this work was designed to establish a network of accurate and reliable control stations using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) techniques. The project involves reconnaissance, planning, field observation, data processing, and coordinate computation to produce precise geodetic control points that serve as reference frameworks for future surveys, mapping, and engineering works. The results demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy achievable through GNSS methods, providing an essential foundation for geospatial development within Bauchi Metropolis.
