Abstract

ABSTRACT In today’s rapidly evolving digital environment, universities face increasing pressure to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery. This project focuses on the design and implementation of an Appointment Management System tailored for the University of Technology Owerri. The system aims to replace the traditional manual method of booking appointments, which is often inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to errors. The developed system provides a centralized digital platform where students and staff can schedule, manage, and track appointments seamlessly. It incorporates features such as user authentication, appointment booking, automated notifications, and administrative control. The system was designed using modern software development methodologies and implemented using web technologies to ensure accessibility and scalability. The results demonstrate that the system significantly reduces scheduling conflicts, minimizes waiting time, and improves overall user satisfaction. This project highlights the importance of adopting digital solutions in academic institutions and provides a foundation for future enhancements in university management systems.
