COMPUTATIONAL DOCKING AND FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS OF THE TGA2 TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR FROM CASSAVA (MANIHOT ESCULENTA) INVOLVED IN PATHOGEN DEFENSE REGULATION
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The TGA2 transcription factor plays a significant role in regulating plant defense mechanisms, particularly in cassava (Manihot esculenta). This study used computational methods to model and analyze the structure and function of the TGA2 transcription factor in relation to its role in pathogen defense. Homology modeling and molecular docking were used to predict the three-dimensional structure and to identify possible interactions with defense related molecules. Functional analysis revealed conserved domains and motifs associated with stress and pathogen response. The results provide useful insights into the molecular functions of the TGA2 transcription factor in cassava, which may contribute to developing improved and disease-resistant varieties of the crop in the future.
