Abstract

Abstract This study focuses on the design and implementation of CourseHub, a modern course management system developed for the Computer Science Department of Joseph Ayo Babalola University. The traditional method of managing courses, student records, and academic materials in the department is largely manual and fragmented, leading to inefficiencies, data loss, and limited accessibility. These challenges necessitated the development of a centralized digital platform. CourseHub was designed using modern web technologies and follows a user-friendly interface that supports course registration, material uploads, assignment management, student performance tracking, and communication between lecturers and students. The system adopts a client-server architecture and incorporates secure authentication mechanisms to ensure data integrity and privacy. The development process followed a structured software engineering methodology, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The system was evaluated based on usability, performance, security, and reliability. Results from system testing and user feedback indicate that CourseHub significantly improves academic administration efficiency, enhances communication, and promotes effective learning management. The study concludes that CourseHub is a reliable and scalable solution for modern academic course management. It recommends its adoption across other departments within the university and suggests future enhancements such as mobile integration and advanced analytics
