Abstract

Silicatc materials arc those required for the growth of silicificd organisms in the Marinc environments, such as diatoms which arc known to bc thc main producers in thc Marine environments. This study was carried out in thc Atlantic Occan which lies between North and South Amcrica on the west and Europe and Africa on thc cast; up north, thc Atlantic connects to thc Arctic Occan and (o thc Southern occan to thc south. In this study, three (3) locations, namely; North Atlantic, Mid Atlantic, and South Atlantic were carefully chosen. Values were extracted from (hc world occan databasc 201 8 (WODJ 8) and uscd to match the corresponding silicatc values and dcpth ranging from 0m, 1 00m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 500m, 750m, 1000m, and 1500m making the total of 13 (l i ffcrcnt depths in each sample station.
