THE IMPACT OF PARENTING ON MORAL BEHAVIOUR OF YOUTH IN MBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

This study examined the impact of parenting on moral behaviour of youths in Mbo local government area. In Mbo local government area, could it be that insufficient parenting or a lack of parental involvement has led to significant problems in the moral development of youths? When parents are absent or disengaged, could it be that children often miss out on crucial guidance and support needed to navigate ethical and social challenges? In line with the above stated, this study examined; the concepts of parenting and moral behaviour, the state of moral behaviour in Mbo local government area, factors responsible for responsible parenting in Contemporary Mbo local government area and impact of parenting on moral behaviour of Youths in Mbo local government area. Findings from this research have shown that the study definitively established that parenting played a pivotal role in shaping the moral behaviour of youths in Mbo Local Government Area. The findings underscored that parenting styles, such as authoritative, permissive, and neglectful approaches, directly influenced the ethical and social conduct of the younger generation. The study recommended that; it is crucial to prioritize the education and empowerment of parents. Awareness programs should be organized to inform parents about effective parenting strategies, emphasizing the importance of moral upbringing and its influence on societal development, among others.
