A structured questionnaire was used with respect to the three research questions formulated. The collected data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation as statistical tools. The findings of the study revealed that biology lecturers are aware of the existence of different modern methods of teaching biology in the university. The lecturers are substituting the different modern methods with respect to specific concepts of biology and class size prior to lesson deliberation. Therefore, the researcher recommended, among others, that school administrators encourage their biology lecturers towards the use of integrated/combine strategies in teaching biology, as well as the need to adopt learner-centered methods for teaching lessons that involve practical work.
