DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF AUTOMATIC WATER PROCESSING CONTROL PLANT WITH SMS MONITORING
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Water processing is a fundamental part of both industrial operations, domestic operations and
Agricultural operations. This project presents the design and implementation of an Automatic
Water Processing Control Plant with SMS Monitoring, aimed at automating water treatment
processes while ensuring real-time monitoring via GSM communication. The system utilizes an
ATmega328P microcontroller as the core controller, interfaced with temperature sensors, water
level sensors, a water heating coil, solenoid valves, an LCD display, and a GSM module (800L).
The system automates water inflow, heating, level control, and outflow, while also sending SMS
notifications to a predefined number when specific events occur ("Inflow ON," "Inflow OFF," and
"Outflow ON," "Outflow OFF," "Heater ON," "Heater OFF."). This automation enhances
reliability, reduces manual intervention, and promotes efficient water usage and safety in
processing plants. The design methodology includes both hardware and software integration,
testing, and validation, ensuring functional and practical implementation.
