DEVELOPMENT OF AN EMBEDDED SYSTEM APPLICATION FOR HAZARD SENSING AND CONTROL USING ARDUINO NANO
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The research project discusses the Development of an Embedded System
Application for Hazard Sensing and Control using Arduino Nano. It was
motivated by the rate of occurrence of hazards in our homes especially in the area of cooking gas leakage. The work was designed using Arduino Nano
board, which is a programmable device, plus other minor electronic devices and components like the LCD, actuators, etc. The program flowchart and the pseudocode for the control of the system of operation were developed. From there, the Arduino Nano board which is the heart of the system, was
programmed using Arduino Programming Language. The system was
packaged and tested ok. It was used to detect gas leakage in a building, which if not detected can result to a great hazard.
