Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of Muhammad Wabi Library by students at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, focusing on their perceptions of the library's resources, services, and overall environment. A total of 120 questionnaires were distributed, with an 83% response rate. Findings reveal a significant level of dissatisfaction among students, particularly in relation to the adequacy of library resources, the ease of accessing information, and the effectiveness of staff support. While 63% of respondents reported dissatisfaction with resource availability, 72% faced challenges accessing information. In contrast, 79% of students found the library's opening hours convenient, and 100% viewed the physical environment as conducive to studying. The study highlights critical gaps in awareness and satisfaction, with 71% of students recommending enhanced marketing efforts to improve resource utilization. These findings underscore the need for the library to reassess its services and implement strategic improvements to better meet the academic needs of its users.
