HISTORY OF AMAEKE MAQURADE 2001-2016

This study explores the history and evolution of the Amaeke masking in Nigerians. In 2001-2016 in southeastern Nigeria. The aim was to analyze the historical tradition of the tradition. Despite such challenges as modernization, generational changes, And gender exclusion, the tradition has continued to transform with the adding of the Ijele.The on-line occurrence of masquerade and enhancement of visibility. The study would add to Igbo Cultural historiography and presents planning to sustain the native culture.
