Abstract

This project develops a web-based application to automate judicial processes for the Enugu State High Court, Agbani Jurisdiction, addressing inefficiencies in manual case management, scheduling, document handling, and payment systems. Utilizing the Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM), the system integrates Laravel for backend development, MySQL for database management, and FullCalendar.js for scheduling, ensuring a robust and scalable solution. The application enables users/litigants, lawyers, and court officials to register cases, schedule hearings, upload documents, and process payments online, with validation checks and automated notifications. Implementation follows a phased changeover approach, enhancing security through encrypted authentication. Testing with sample data confirms functionality, with results showing improved efficiency, reduced paperwork, and real-time access to case information. The significance lies in modernizing judicial administration, reducing delays, and improving accessibility, offering a model for other courts. Future enhancements could include mobile integration and advanced analytics.
