EFFECTS OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICS ON STUDENTS ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE IN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COLLEGE MAIDUGURI METROPOLITANT COUNCIL,BORNO STATE, NIGERIA.

ABSTRACT The study was carried out to, "effects of Examination Malpractice on students academic performance in Federal Government college Maiduguri Metropolitant Council, Borno state Nigeria'' Four(4) objectives and four research questions were used to guide the study, A descriptive research design was adopted in the study., The total population sample of Four hundred (400) was used in this study, A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data from the respondents. The research used 40 items questionnaire for data collection the questionnaire was dividend into two sections the data collection were analysed using single percentage. based on finding of the study it revealed that many students of randomly selected class can not listening well and take what the teacher is teaching in the classroom as a result of some factors such as pressure to successed, lack of preparedness, poor invigilator, socio economic, and reading skills, problem faced by the majority of the students it was therefore recommend that students are strongly advise to prepare their notes by jotting the important points of their lesson, so that they can use if for Examination purpose, students should try all their best to avoid bad habit with regards to their studies, and finally lessons cannot be thoroughly assimilated during the period of instructions, therefore, teachers, should encourage students on the need of note taking during lesson and pay more attention,
