DESIGN AND IMPELEMENTATION OF A FILE ENCRYPTING APPLICATION USING AES ENCRYPTION
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research conducted on the design and implementation of a file encrypting application using AES encryption seeks to improve file security in areas where files need to be stored securely for an individual, or an organization. Due to insufficient file security techniques, confidential documents are often accessed improperly or in an unauthorized manner. The purpose of this study is to develop a file encrypting application that is based on the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) algorithm in order to compensate for poor security methods that are carried out. The software design methodology that was used in executing this research was the waterfall model. For the design and implementation of the system, Python was used for developing the software along with Tkinter for the user interface. The final software design was able to successfully encrypt and decrypt various file types such as text, video, image, and audio files. It was also designed in a precise manner.
