Abstract

This research critically examines the theme of social injustice in Nigeria through the lens of Femi Osofisan's play Once Upon Four Robbers. The study explores how Osofisan, as socially committed dramatist uses theatre as a tool to reflect and challenge the structural inequalities, poverty, and corruption in Nigerian society, by drawing on Marxist literary criticism, the systemic oppression faced by ordinary citizens, particularly those pushed into crime by economic desperation.
