DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF GREENHOUSE MONITORING AND CONTROL SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project presents the design and construction of a greenhouse monitoring and control system aimed at enhancing the productivity and efficiency of crop cultivation under controlled environmental conditions. The system incorporates sensors for temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity to monitor the microclimate within the greenhouse. An Arduino-based microcontroller processes sensor data and automatically controls actuators such as fans, irrigation pumps, and artificial lights to maintain optimal growing conditions. The system also includes a real-time display and optional wireless alert system for remote monitoring. The implementation of this project demonstrates a low-cost, energy-efficient, and automated solution for sustainable agriculture, especially in regions with unpredictable weather pattern
