Abstract

It is common for patients with renal disease to have blood coagulation disorders. This study is aimed to illustrate APTT, Platelet and red cell indices in subjects with renal disorder. It was carried out in a hospital in Enugu, Eastern Nigeria. The total of 70 blood samples were collected, 50 from renal disorder patients and 20 from healthy subjects. The evaluation of APTT and platelets were done using Automated Haematology Analyzer. The results obtained were expressed as mean±SD that means the values were considered significant at p0.05. The result obtained in this research shows that there was no significant differencein APTT and platelet values(p>0.05) when the test subjects were compared with the control subjects in renal patients in Enugu, Eastern Nigeria.
