MODELLING A PROTOTYPE WEB-BASED APPLICATION FOR MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION OF MEDICAL IMAGING DATA STANDARDS
Abstract
The effective management and communication of medical imaging data are critical for achieving interoperability, diagnostic accuracy, and efficient healthcare delivery in modern clinical environments. This project develops a specialized application designed to facilitate the standardized handling, storage, transmission, and sharing of medical imaging information in compliance with internationally recognized standards, primarily DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) — the global benchmark for medical image format, metadata structure, network protocols, and media interchange.
