Abstract

This research addresses the inefficiencies associated with manual hostel allocation processes, including excessive paperwork, human errors, delays, and student dissatisfaction. The study proposes and implements a computerized hostel allocation system using React for the front-end interface and Firebase for back-end services such as authentication and database management. The system was developed using the Agile methodology and Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture. Testing results show that the system improves allocation speed, reduces errors, enhances transparency, and increases user satisfaction. The study concludes that automation is a reliable and scalable solution for modern hostel management.
