DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TRACKING SYSTEM FOR RENTED CARS
Abstract
ABSTRACT
he increasing demand for rental cars has necessitated the development of efficient tracking systems that enhance operational management and customer satisfaction. This paper presents a comprehensive tracking system designed for rental car companies, utilizing GPS technology and mobile applications to monitor vehicle location, usage patterns, and maintenance needs in real-time. The proposed system offers features such as geofencing, which alerts operators when vehicles are used outside designated areas, and an integrated dashboard for visualizing fleet status. Additionally, it enables customers to locate their rented vehicles easily, improving their experience. By leveraging data analytics, the system can provide insights into rental trends and customer preferences, aiding in inventory management and targeted marketing strategies. This tracking solution not only optimizes fleet utilization but also enhances security by reducing the risk of theft and unauthorized use. The implementation of this system is expected to lead to significant operational efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction in the car rental industry.
