Abstract

The increasing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly solutions has led to the exploration of alternative energy sources for various applications, including refrigeration systems. This study focuses on the design and implementation of a mobile solar-based refrigerating system specifically tailored for domestic use. The objective is to develop a portable and energy-efficient system that utilizes solar power to provide cooling for perishable goods in remote areas or during power outages. The proposed system integrates solar panels, energy storage, and a refrigeration unit to create a self-sustaining and environmentally friendly solution. The design incorporates efficient photovoltaic panels to capture sunlight and convert it into electrical energy, which is stored in batteries for continuous operation. The stored energy powers the refrigeration unit, which employs state-of-the-art cooling technologies to maintain low temperatures within the system. Key considerations in the design process include optimizing the system's energy efficiency, ensuring reliable performance, and addressing the unique requirements of domestic users. The portability aspect enables the system to be easily transported and deployed in areas lacking reliable electricity grids or where conventional refrigeration solutions are impractical. The implementation phase involves building a functional prototype based on the proposed design. Rigorous testing and evaluation are conducted to assess the system's performance under various operating conditions, including different solar radiation levels and ambient temperatures. Data on energy consumption, cooling capacity, and overall system efficiency are collected and analyzed to validate the system's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. The outcomes of this research contribute to the advancement of sustainable refrigeration technologies and provide a viable solution for domestic users seeking reliable and ecofriendly cooling options. The mobile solar-based refrigerating system offers a promising alternative to conventional grid-dependent refrigeration systems, particularly in off-grid areas or regions prone to power outages, thus improving accessibility to safe and reliable food storage.
