SYNERGIZED PROMOTION OF THE AKWA IBOM CREATIVE INDUSTRY : IBOM ENTERTAINMENT WEEK 2022 IN FOCUS

The creative industry is one of the flourishing industry in the world. This is so because of the revenue generated by the industry and the development its has contributed to humanity. This work examine the Synergized Promotion of the Akwa Ibom State creative industry: Ibom Entertainment Week, 2022. The synergy here has to do with the nexus between Government, private sector and the media industry; because attaining the height that the creative industry is today, they are some sectors that has help in working with the creative industry to achieve this great fate. Over the years in Akwa Ibom State, the creative industry has evolved with new ideas and event. Most of this ideas and event has contributed to the tourism revenue boost for the state. Ibom Entertainment Week is one of those ideas which started in 2021 and in 2022, the second edition of the event was been hosted. To do justice to this study, four research is raised. The study made use of qualitative research approach as research design and also it's uses Qualitative analysis approach to analyze the data gathered for the work. This study is hing on status conferral Theory of the media and the area of study of this work is the Ibom Entertainment Week of 2022. Amongst other things, this work recommend that the government of Akwa Ibom State should create a bureau of entertainment in the state. This study also recommend that the media and the entertainment industry should put their heads together and fashion out a new way that will bring in more investment into the industry. The work call on the government to get involve in the entertainment world by investing immersly since it is the highest income generating industry in the world. The study call on the media industry to always report positive things about the entertainment industry and also respect the integrity of the creative industry.
