Abstract

Abstract The employment of Creative Dramatics as a practice-based learning method has existed since the 18th century to facilitate child education. Unfortunately, this method has received limited attention and has not been fully integrated into the Nigerian elementary school curriculum. This research, titled “Employing Creative Dramatics in Child: A Practice-Based Study at Cedar Montessori,” focused on the implementation of Creative Dramatics in primary schools in Nigeria, drawing on the researcher’s experience at Cedar Montessori Primary School in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The study analyzed approaches in Creative Dramatics to underscore its significance as a practice-based method for child learning. Guided by relevant research questions, the study adopted a qualitative research approach, utilizing materials from books, journals, internet sources, and practical observations. Findings revealed the effectiveness of Creative Dramatics as a practice-based method in the learning process for children. The study concluded with recommendations for its wider employment to enhance the child’s learning experience.
