Abstract

ABSTRACT The increasing challenges of water scarcity, pollution, and ineffective management call for the adoption of advanced monitoring systems to ensure safe and sustainable water use. This project presents the design and implementation of an IoT based water level and quality monitoring system aimed at addressing the limitations of traditional, manual methods. The system employs a network of sensors, turbidity sensors, TDS sensors and ultrasonic sensor interfaced with an Esp32 microcontroller to measure critical water parameters in real-time. Sensor data is transmitted wirelessly to the blynk cloud platform, enabling remote access, real-time alerts, and automated control of water pumps based on water level thresholds. The system provides a cost-effective, scalable and efficient solution for continuous water quality assessment and level monitoring, sustainable for both urban and rural environments. By enabling timely detection of contamination and abnormal water levels, it helps in prevention health risks, environmental hazards, and water related disasters. The integration of cloud-based data visualization, automated alerts, and user-friendly mobile control demonstrates the potential of IoT in transforming water management practices and contributing to public health and environmental sustainability.
