The population of the study comprised of biology teachers and students in the study area. Multi-stage sampling procedure which comprises simple random sampling techniques was adopted for the study. A sample of two hundred and seventy-three (273) respondents were used for the study. The research instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire titled “Teacher Motivation Questionnaire” (TMQ)” and Biology Achievement Test (BAT). It was validated by experts in Test and Measurement, University of Cross River. Simple linear regression analysis used in testing the null hypotheses. All the hypotheses were tested using .05 level of significance. Based on the analysis of data, it was found that work environment, job mobility, and job security have significant positive influence on academic achievement of senior secondary school Biology students. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that, greater effort should be made by government to improve on the quality of teachers at the secondary school level, this also include providing professional development programmes for the teachers so as to ensure they are up-to-date in their professional knowledge; government should also ensure that more schools are built to reduce the distance of students while commuting far to their schools. The researcher suggested a replica of same topic but on a wider scope to ascertain if there will be differences in results.
