Abstract

ABSTRACT Field Development Planning (FDP) is a critical process that involves strategic d ecision-making for optimizing hydrocarbon recovery. Ranking wells for future d evelopment is an essential component of FDR and the advent of big data anal ytics provides new opportunities for improving this process. The uncertainty in the field parameters i.e. field size; oil deliverability per well, water-cil ratio and g as-oil-ratio. These are the endogenous uncertain parameters since cur investm ent and operating decisions affect the stochastic process. Geological, reservoi r, production, and economic data from the five candidate wells were collected and processed. The optimization process was carried out based on a mixed in teger formulation including numerical and categorical variables. The approach consists in building a R8NN function using Matlab's ANN toolbox in order to g et a correlation from a statistical standpoint between the aforementioned varia bles and the target of interest. The simulation results gave data: (Well 1 - 200.0 well 2 - 0.196656752877024; well 3 - 0.200001 063134015; Wei 1 4 -0.0500010617416872; well 5 -1099.99999947985) Keywords: Field Development Plan, Probabilistic determination, Uncertainity, D ecision Tree, Artificial Neural Network-
