Abstract

Palynology is the study of pollen grain and spores, which are microscopic.structures ~ produced by plants for the purpose of reproduction (Smith, 2017). Palynological studies have been a valuable tool in paleobotany, paleoclimatology and paleoecology (Sun ef al., 2018) and environmental studies. By examining the morphology of pollen and spores, palynologists can identify the plants that produced them, providing valuable information about past vegetation and climates.
