Abstract
Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) is an evidence-based educational approach aimed at improving foundational Skills in literacy and numeracy among Primary school children. Rather than following a rigid, grade-level Curriculum, TARL focuses on assessing Students Current learning levels and grouping them according to their abilities, not age or grade. Tailored instruction is then provided to meet each groups Specific learning needs. This method has proven particularly effective in addressing learning gaps on under resourced education Systems. The project explores the implementation, strategies, and outcomes of the TaRL approach, drawing from Case studies and research especially in developing countries. It also discusses the role of teachers training, community involvement, and continuous assessment in ensuring the success of this learner-centered methodology. Ultimately the project highlights how teaching at the right level can be a powerful tool in achieving equitable and effective education for all.
