Abstract

This study examines the media coverage of environmental issues, focusing on a comparative analysis between print and online news outlets. The research aims to assess how environmental topics are represented in traditional print media versus digital platforms, investigating differences in frequency, depth, and framing of environmental news. By analyzing a sample of news articles and reports from both print and online sources over a specified period, the study evaluates the prominence and quality of environmental coverage. The analysis will consider factors such as the diversity of topics covered, the presence of scientific versus sensational reporting, and the engagement strategies employed by different media types. The findings are expected to reveal significant variations in how environmental issues are presented and perceived, offering insights into the evolving landscape of media influence on public awareness and policy concerning environmental matters. This comparative approach aims to contribute to a better understanding of media roles in environmental advocacy and the implications for future communication strategies.
