Abstract

This study examined the effects of education expenditure, trade value and investment on GDP growth in Nigeria using multiple regression analysis. The data used in this study was obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) from 2000 to 2024. The sample of 24 years was taken. The data was analyzed using SPSS version 23. The preliminary results showed that among the three variables initially included in the model only education and trade were statistically significant predictors of GDP. Investment expenditure did not contribute significantly to GDP and was therefore excluded from the final regression analysis model. The final regression model containing education expenditure and trade value revealed that the model was statistically significantly, suggesting that these variables collectively provide a strong prediction value.
