Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigated the chemical properties and therapeutic effects of selected analgesics using albino rats as experimental models. Analgesics are widely used for pain relief and are broadly classified into opioid and non-opioid categories. Selected drugs such as Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, and Aspirin were evaluated for their analgesic efficacy and pharmacological effects. The experimental design involved administering graded doses of the drugs to albino rats and assessing pain response using standard pain models. Findings revealed that the selected analgesics significantly reduced pain responses compared to the control group. The study concludes that the chemical structure of analgesics influences their mechanism of action and therapeutic effectiveness. It recommends further studies on dosage optimization and potential side effects. Keywords: Analgesics, Albino Rats, Pain Model, NSAIDs, Pharmacology, Therapeutic Effects
