The findings suggest that robust accounting records and internal controls are essential for preventing fraud in the civil service, and that accurate accounting records can help detect suspicious transactions and anomalies. The study provides recommendations for improving accounting records and internal controls in the civil service to curb fraud and engender transparency in governance.
