Abstract

ABSTRACT This project presents the development of a rule-based chatbot designed to provide students in the Faculty of Computing at the University of Delta (UNIDEL) with centralized and reliable access to course-related information. The chatbot responds to queries about course titles, codes, units, and assigned lecturers using predefined rules. It also features an admin dashboard where authorized staff can update course data in real time. Built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP (Laravel), and MySQL, the system ensures quick access, data security, and ease of use. By offering an accurate and up-to-date alternative to traditional methods, the chatbot reduces registration errors, supports academic planning, and simplifies communication between students and the faculty.
