Pressureulcersaresignificanthealthcareproblemworldwide,whichaffectsseveralthousandpeopleeachyear(Hsu,Chang,ChenandChen,2020).ThisstudyexploredThePreventiveMeasuresofpressureulceramongNursesinMadonnaUniversityTeachingHospitalEleleRiver'sState.Adescriptivesurveyandaqualitativeresearchdesignwasusedinthisstudy.Thestudyaimtoassesstheknowledgeofpressureulcerpreventivemeasuresamongnurses,Toexaminethepracticeofpressureulcerpreventivemeasuresamongnurses,ToidentifytheperceivedbarriertowardspressureulcerpreventionamongnursesinMadonnaUniversityTeachingHospital,EleleRiversState.Theresearchquestionswereinlinewiththeresearchobjectives.Thetargetpopulationwas200nursesasimplerandomsamplingtechniquewasusedtoselect133nursesforthestudyasthesamplesize.Questionnairewastheinstrumentfordatacollection.majorfindingsofthestudyincludetheknowledgeofPressureulcerpreventivemeasuresishigherthanitspractice,About89%ofthenurseshaveexcellentknowledgeofpressurepreventivemeasureswhileonly43%havegoodpracticeofpressureulcer,Majority85%ofthenursesidentifiedheavyworkloadandlackoftimeasthemajorbarrierstowardspressureulcerpreventivemeasuresInconclusion,thereisneedforhospitalmanagementandgovernmenttoemployadequatenursesinthehospital,toreducetheworkloadofNurses.
