Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on employee performance, focusing on three key dimensions: economic, legal, and ethical responsibilities. Using ABUAD Ventures in Ado-Ekiti as a case study, data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 100 employees. The research aimed to analyze how these CSR practices influence employee motivation, job satisfaction, and overall performance. The findings revealed significant positive relationships between all three dimensions of CSR and employee performance. Economic responsibility was found to enhance employee motivation and productivity by ensuring fair compensation and financial stability. Legal responsibility contributed to higher job satisfaction and performance by clarifying roles and fostering trust through compliance with laws and regulations. Ethical responsibility positively impacted employee engagement and loyalty, creating a meaningful work environment where employees felt valued. These results highlight the critical role of CSR in driving employee performance and underscore the importance of integrating CSR initiatives into organizational strategies. The study concludes that organizations that prioritize CSR not only fulfill their social obligations but also cultivate a committed and high-performing workforce, leading to sustained organizational success. Recommendations for ABUAD Ventures and similar organizations include strengthening economic practices, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting ethical behavior to enhance employee performance and engagement.
