AIR POLLUTION MONITORING SYSTEM
Abstract
This project is the design of a smart air pollution monitoring system that gives information about air pollution in Yan Ganda. Nowadays air pollution has turned out to be one of the most significant issues in the world, because of the increase in number of vehicles use, smoke from burning dirt, smoke from industries, and burning of animal hides (skin), which produces substance(smoke) that is harmful to human well-being, thus affecting the health of population exposed to it. In order to monitor the quality of air, this project, will utilize an IOT Based Air Pollution Monitoring System which will monitor the Air Quality over a web server using ESP32 Wi-Fi device, sensors that will sense the harmful gases, and a buzzer will alert the user when the quality of air goes down beyond a certain level, when there is sufficient amount of harmful gases present in the air like CO, smoke and butane, It will show the air elements in PPM (Parts Per Million), “Fresh Air”, “Bad Air” will be displayed on the webpage for easy monitoring. The method that was used, to achieve this project is SSADM (Structure System Analysis and Design). The system was tested, and was 80% successful. The system used MQ7 and MQ2 gas sensors for monitoring the air pollution as it detect most harmful gases and alert the user to take prompt action such as evacuating people or sending emergency alert to the response team.
