Abstract

The aims of this study is Statistical Analysis to Determinant Risk Factor of Malaria in Male and Female Students (A Case Study of University of Maiduguri Hostels) is to assess the prevalence of malaria based on environmental condition and to understand the pattern of malaria based on gender and level of education this was achieved with the used of chi-square analysis. The study reveals that most of the hostels of University of Maiduguri are located close to water ways. It has also revealed some of the hostels are having bushes or grasses around. Chi-square analysis that was run shows that environmental condition contributes significantly to malaria because both p-values are less than 0.005 hence we can say that malaria is dependent on environmental condition (i.e. closeness of hostel to drainage and bushes or long grasses). Similarly, the results show that both gender and level of education has no effect to likelihood of that students will have malaria. The study recommends that
