Abstract

In the field of biological sciences, the study of plant and animal tissues is integral to understanding the complexities of living organisms. Permanent slides prepared from plant and animal tissues provide invaluable insights into their anatomical structures, cellular compositions, and physiological functions. Microscopic examination has long been a cornerstone of biological research, enabling scientists to study the intricate details of plant and animal tissues that cannot be observed with the naked eye. The preparation of permanent slides is not just a routine laboratory procedure but a vital skill that requires precision and an understanding of biological materials. The process involves several carefully controlled steps, including fixation, dehydration, embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting. To outline the key steps involved in the preparation of permanent slides of plant and animal tissues. To highlight the importance of proper fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining techniques in ensuring the quality of the slides.
