Abstract

This project focuses on the design and development of a Football Tournament Management System aimed at streamlining the organization and administration of football tournaments. Traditionally, managing fixtures, match results, team standings, and schedules has involved time-consuming and error-prone manual processes. This system provides a web-based solution that enables administrators to easily create fixtures, input match results, and automatically generate leaderboards based on tournament rules. Users can sign up, log in, and view relevant tournament data such as fixtures, results, and team rankings. The system is implemented using PHP programming for the backend, MySQL for data storage, and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend interface. It ensures data integrity, supports role-based access (admin and user), and offers a responsive and user-friendly experience. The project demonstrates how digital tools can enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of tournament management, especially in local and school-based sports events.
