DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTEGRATED ONLINE TRAIN TICKET RESERVATION AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (OTTRS)
Abstract
This project involves designing and implementing an online train ticket booking system, providing a secure, efficient, and user-friendly experience for passengers. OTTRS integrates real-time scheduling, seat selection, and payment processing to streamline ticket reservations. The work is a web –based application that permits guests to check transport accessibility, purchase and pay transport ticket on the web. The development of the System was based on the waterfall model. The train online reservation system was developed using Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP), Structure Query Language (SQL), Jquery, Ajax, Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), and JavaScript. The system can be able to reserve ticket and cancelled the reserved ticket online.
