This project implement a web-based discussion forum tailored for the students of the Computer Science Department at a tertiary institution( FEDERAL POLYECHNIC OFFA, KWARA STATE). The forum aims to facilitate interaction and communication between students and lecturers, promoting an online community that supports academic discussions, social interactions, and information sharing
.Developed using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript, the platform incorporates features such as secure login, role-based access, topic creation, and commenting, fostering collaborative and interactive engagement. Findings suggest that while the forum effectively enhances student learning environment, challenges related to internet access, digital literacy, and balancing social and academic use. The study concludes with recommendations for improving user participation and enhancing the platform's features to better serve its educational purpose.
