Abstract

This project details the design, construction, and testing of a manually powered road sweeping machine designed to enhance debris collection efficiency on various surfaces. Constructed with durable materials like mild steel and Polypropylene, the machine ensures longevity and effective performance. Its sweeping mechanism operates with an optimized brush rotation-to-wheel revolution ratio, allowing for effective debris collection across terrains such as interlock, tarred, and tiled roads. The user-friendly design and portability allow for adaptability on uneven surfaces, making it an effective solution for reducing human effort in road cleaning. This project addresses practical challenges in manual sweeping while providing a reliable tool for maintaining clean roadways.
