Abstract

ABSTRACT Ibeno Beach, located along the Atlantic Ocean in Nigeria, exhibits a diverse range of sedimentary structures and biogenic structures. Sedimentary structures, such as cross-bedding, ripple marks, mud cracks, and graded bedding, provide valuable information about the conditions under which the sediment was deposited and the processes that formed the beach. Biogenic structures, on the other hand, are created by living organisms and include shell beds, burrows, and trace fossils. These structures are indicative of the marine environment in which Ibeno Beach is situated and provide valuable information about the ecology and behavior of the organisms that created them. Studying these structures can help us better understand the geological and biological history of Ibenom Beach and the surrounding area.
