SOIL CHARACTERIZATION USING SEISMIC REFRACTION TOMOGRAPHY; A CASE STUDY OF ST. JOHN CATHOLIC CHURCH FUPRE, DELTA STATE
Abstract
The integration of photovoltaic systems into Nigeria’s electrical grid presents significant technical challenges related to power quality, grid stability, and regulatory compliance. This thesis presents comprehensive modelling and analysis of solar inverter systems specifically designed for Nigerian electrical network conditions, addressing critical aspects of power electronics performance, maximum power point tracking algorithms, and grid integration requirements. The research contributes a comprehensive simulation platform enabling detailed analysis of inverter performance, grid integration compliance, and economic optimization for Nigerian photovoltaic installations. The developed models demonstrate validation accuracy exceeding 95% when compared with published field measurements from similar grid conditions, providing reliable tools for system designers and regulatory authorities
