Abstract

"This study examines the impact of religious television programs on the moral conduct of Nigerian polytechnic students. It investigates whether watching religious television programs influences students' moral behaviour, and if so. how. The study used a survey questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 120 polytechnic students. The findings suggest that religious. television programs have a significant influence on students' moral conduct. with a majority of respondents reporting that they have made changes to their behaviour as a result of watching these programs. The study also found that the impact of religious television programs is mediated by students' level of religiosity and the moral teachings of their religion. The study concludes that religious television programs can be an effective tool for promoting moral conduct among Nigerian polytechnic students. However, further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of religious television programs and how they can be optimized to maximize their impact.
