BIO SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND MICROBIAL ACTIVITIES OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES IN MEDICINAL PLANT USING ERYTHRINA SENEGALENSIS (FABACEA) LEAVE
Abstract
Silver nanoparticles (AgNps) have gained significant attention in recent years due to their wide range of applications in various fields, including medicine, catalysis and environmental remediation. The biosynthesis of AgNps using natural sources has emerged as an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to conventional Chemical methods. In this study we focus on the Biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using Erythrina senegalensis leaf extract and explore their characterization and potential microbial initially, Erythrina senegalensis leaf extract was prepared using a simple aqueous extraction method. Uv-visible spectroscopy was employed to monitor the synthesis process and to confirm the formation of AgNPS, which is indicated by the characteristics surface Plasmon resonance peak. The antimicrobial activities of the synthesized AgNps were evaluated against a panel of microorganisms. My findings demonstrate that Erythrina Senegalensis leaf extract is a potent reducing and stabilizing agent for the biosynthesis of AgNps.
